Hello! I'm An Vrombaut. I'm the creator of the animated TV series 64 Zoo Lane on Cbeebies and Florrie's Dragons on Disney Junior, and I also write and illustrate picture books.
I was born in Belgium and grew up with lots of pets: dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens, ducks, hamsters, tropical fish and even stick insects. But my favourites were the guinea pigs. I moved to the UK to study animation at the Royal College of Art. Ever since then I've been making films and books for children. One day I'll write a story about a guinea pig!
My books include Smile, Crocodile, Smile, winner of the Nottingham Children's Book Award, and Dear Dragon, about a bubble-blowing dragon. I've also made two award-winning short films Little Wolf and When I grow Up I Want To Be A Tiger.
