school visits story session

in a classroom

A lively storytelling session which is intended to fire up the children's imagination. Suitable for Nursery, Reception and Year 1. I vary the content according to the length of the session and age of the children. Duration: 30-45 mins.

When a brave little kitten walks down the tiger trail all sorts of exciting things can happen. What can they be? A story about imagination.
I act out the story, using a colourful sack filled with props. Lots of interaction with the children!

Mouse and Elephant are the best of friends, but sometimes it is hard to find just the right game to play… A story about friendship.
I read the book and show the illustrations. I ask the children for solutions to Mouse and Elephant's problem, and make sketches of their ideas.

Clarabella Crocodile has so many teeth that tooth-brushing time can last all day and she misses out on playtime - until her friends come to the rescue. A story all about size and a dental dilemma.
I read the story and invite the children to join in with the repetitive phrases and various noises. Features a MEGA-surprise at the end!
